As if cold and flu season wasn't already a pain, a new recall is here to add another layer of frustration. Earlier this month, Costco's Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs department announced a recall on Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion capsules.

According to the announcement, the capsules were recalled when a batch of the medicine was accidentally released and shipped after being "rejected" due to potential foreign material contamination. It's currently unclear what the foreign material may have been.

The Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion capsules were sold between October 30, 2024 and November 30, 2024 and have the lot code P140082.

Costco shoppers are being urged not to use any remaining product marked with the lot code listed and to return the item to your local Costco for a full refund. You can also reach out to LNK International, the manufacturers of the over-the-counter medicine, at 1-800-426-9391 or email complaints-inquiries@lnkintl.com if you have any questions or concerns.

We're only a few days into the new year, but Costco's medicine recall isn't the only recall customers should be aware of. Just last week, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recalled Walmart's Marketside Broccoli Florets in 20 states over listeria concerns.

The washed and ready-to-eat bags of broccoli have a UPC code of 6 81131 32884 5 on the back of the bag and a Lot Code of BFFG327A6 on the front of the bag.

Stay safe (and sniffle free) out there!
