Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow Had a Rainy Day Friends Reunion

As the song goes, “I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to fall.” And amid an epic rainstorm (okay, atmospheric river) in Los Angeles, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, a.k.a. Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay on Friends, met up for some girl time.
“Photo dump with all the rain that’s dumping on LA,” Cox captioned an Instagram slideshow that starts with the former costars hanging at home. Cox is wearing some kind of animal ears, and really, this picture could be from any time, but it’s nice to think that they’re staying dry and cozy and…costumed?…despite the weather.
The slideshow also includes Cox’s dog wearing dark goggles, and Cox with pal Laura Dern and Dern’s legendary actor mom, Diane Ladd.
Cox also joked about the downpour in another post, which uses a filter to make it look as though her home has flooded. The bit where she pretends to fill her glass with river water and then drink it is actually pretty clever.
Cox is a fan of water overall, especially as a beauty supplement. “I just believe in hydration,” she told Glamour in November. “So if that’s called flooding, or slugging, or slagging, I do it.”
She also praised the combination of water and heat. “In the afternoon I take a sauna, a hot sauna. I use water with essential oils on it so it becomes steamy. It’s not infrared; it’s just a pure hot sauna. Then I get into my cold plunge. The dopamine hit you get is so, and I shouldn’t say, it’s like a drug. I actually haven’t taken a drug that gives you a dopamine hit, but that’s what this does. And it lasts a long time.”
Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow’s meet-up is the second Friends mini reunion in as many days. Ross and Rachel—David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston—just met up for a Super Bowl ad in which Aniston pretends to have completely forgotten Schwimmer. BRB, time for a rewatch.
