Courteney Cox's Walk of Fame star ceremony turns into 'Friends' reunion with Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow

Courteney Cox celebrated a major career milestone with the support of lifelong friends Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.

Cox, who starred with Aniston and Kudrow on the ‘90s sitcom “Friends,” was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. Aniston and Kudrow appeared at the ceremony to help pay tribute to Cox.

“To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney,” Aniston said, calling Cox a “good human” and “extraordinary friend.” “From the beginning when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving (and) interested in everything about you.”

It wasn't a complete "Friends" reunion, however, as Cox’s other co-stars – including David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc – were not in attendance.

Aniston and Kudrow praised Cox for creating a supportive environment while making “Friends,” with Kudrow crediting Cox’s inclusivity for solidifying their bond as an ensemble.

“I really believe that it was Courteney doing that that really set us up to become one of the closest, most loving and supportive casts in the history of television,” Kudrow said.

When Cox took the stage for her own remarks, the “Shining Vale” star took a moment to thank “beautiful friends” Aniston and Kudrow, as well as actress Laura Dern, for their attendance and unwavering support.

“It’s so nice that you came out and showed up for me in public the way you do so often in private,” Cox said. “I love you.”

Cox and her “Friends” co-stars stuck together throughout the show’s 10-year run from 1994-2004. The cast famously negotiated as a unit to secure a $1 million per-episode paycheck late in the series’ production.

"When the show started, she was probably the biggest name of the six of them," "Friends" co-creator David Crane told USA TODAY of Cox in March 2022. "After the first table read, I think she set ground rules that said, 'Nobody's the star. Nobody is more important than anybody else on this show.'"
