If we're being honest, Crocs isn't the first footwear brand we think of when shopping for stylish summer sandals. Although notoriously comfortable, Crocs is better known for their infamous perforated clogs than trendy, brunch-appropriate footwear.

With that being said, not all Crocs are created equal. Their Swiftwater slides, for example, combine the brand's legendary cushioning with an "I can actually wear these in public" design.

Earning more than 1,500 five-star reviews, the Crocs Swiftwater slides are a clear favourite among comfort-seekers.
"This is my new favourite shoe in the whole world," writes one shopper. "I bought every type of comfort and fashion shoe brand I could get before going on an over two-week trip all over Italy. Every single one of them, most famous for comfort and long walking, even hiking sneakers, ALL gave me blisters and problems with my feet. These, which I originally bought mainly for poolside and beach, ended up being the absolute best shoes for my feet. The last week of the trip, I wore only these everywhere we went. Fancy restaurants and walking around Italian cities. These are my new favourite shoes. Now that I'm back, I wear them to work, sometimes on 16 hour weekend shifts. "[These] literally changed my life," writes another reviewer. "I have very wide feet and had resigned myself to wearing flip flops for the rest of my life, as sandal straps typically cut into the area just behind my toes. The Swiftwater Sandal has literally been a game-changer! The angle and location of the front strap put it above the wide part of my foot, and the bed cradles my feet beautifully. I also appreciate their versatility, equally great with a dress or casual shorts."

However, before you head to checkout, some shoppers note the Swiftwater sizing can be a bit off. "SUPER comfortable, but the sizing is a bit weird," according to one reviewer, "I typically wear an 8.5. Some reviews I read said to size down, and others said to size up. I tried sizing down first, and they just barely fit. Straps were the perfect fit, but the shoe was just a hair too short. I decided to return for the nine instead. The nine is good lengthwise, but now the straps aren't as snug. Still a great shoe, but I get a little nervous that I'll slip out of them."
The verdict
With an average rating of 4.5 stars, many shoppers praise the Swiftwater sandals for their unmatched, all-day comfort. However, if you have narrower feet and prefer a snug fit, the Crocs sizing could prove to be an issue.
