Cult Brand Mansur Gavriel’s Newest Shoes and Bags Are Truly Museum-Worthy
By now, you know the name Mansur Gavriel. It’s the cult accessories line created by two friends, Floriana Gavriel and Rachel Mansur, who found instant success when they created the now-ubiquitous black leather bucket bag that took the fashion community by storm (and often sells out in seconds).
It’s now been four years since the brand launched, and it has since released a flurry of new handbag styles and expanded its offerings to include shoes. This season, Mansur Gavriel decided to present its spring 2017 collection in a gallery setting, with the new bags and shoes propped up on pedestals and shelves — fitting for pieces that many fans consider works of art. Meanwhile, guests helped themselves to gift shop merch like stationery, notebooks, posters, and more. Sounds like heaven, no? Read on for the full scoop.

The Scene: The setting was a crisp, white, three-room gallery space in Chelsea, Manhattan, where handbags and shoes were on display as if they were sculptures in a museum.

#WantItNow: If designer Simon Miller’s itty-bitty bags showed us anything, it’s that miniature is definitely in — and we can’t wait to get our hands on these mini top-handle bags in blush pink and tan.

The Takeaway: Mansur Gavriel provided its attendees with an unforgettable experience. We hope Mansur decides to open a brick-and-mortar store in the future because if it’s anything like this — it will surely be a success.
