Daisy Edgar-Jones has been showcasing all year just how chic and expansive her wardrobe is, and her recent street-style outfit proves just that.
The Normal People actor spent the summer serving look after look — with the help of celebrity stylist Dani Michelle — to promote the blockbuster film Twisters. At the New York stop of the press tour, Edgar-Jones did four outfit changes in one day — all spanning from different materials, silhouettes, and styles. Her co-star Glen Powell probably couldn't keep up.
While she's put the multiple outfit changes aside — for now — Edgar-Jones recently made an appearance at BBC to promote the West End production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in London. The actor stars as Maggie Pollitt opposite Kingsley Ben-Adir — who recently played Bob Marley in the biopic Bob Marley: One Love. Edgar-Jones arrived in head-to-toe Gucci, proving her winter wardrobe is just as timeless as summer.
The actor wore a tailored Gucci blazer and thin black belt (with the signature G's) from the brand's fall 2024 collection. She paired the top with light-wash straight-leg jeans, a burgundy Gucci chain bag, and of course — black ballet flats.
Despite the more casual feel of light denim, Edgar-Jones's decision to wear ballet flats and a buttoned-up blazer elevated the outfit to a more pulled-together look. Flats, which were wildly popular in the early 2000s and 2010s, have recirculated as the trendiest shoe to own over the last few years. Some are patterned and thin, while others are more structured and boxy. Edgar-Jones's strappy Gucci pair are both edgy and shaped like the classic pointe shoe to give them a boost of femininity.
Daisy Edgar-Jones is a storied Gucci brand ambassador, often making appearances at the Italian luxury brand's fashion shows and wearing pieces from the runway on red carpets and more. Her style has remained timeless since she's been thrust into the spotlight and will likely continue her reign as an underrated fashion icon.
