Dakota Johnson is taking her role as Cassandra Web in the new Madame Web film very seriously. So much so that she cosplayed as a human spiderweb at the 2024 Vogue Brazil Ball in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night.

Taking method acting to the next level, the actress hit the red carpet while wearing a custom version of the Cobweb Dress by Annie's Ibiza. Like the ready-to-wear style, Dakota's gown featured a black mesh base with an intricate spiderweb pattern made from glistening beads and dangling crystals meant to resemble dewdrops. But rather than a midi or mini hemline, Dakota's dress pooled down to the ground, creating a mini train in the back, and came complete with a matching sparkly veil.

Not a single accessory in sight, Johnson allowed her dress to steal the spotlight without competition. She styled her chocolate brown hair in loose waves with her signature fringe brushed across her forehead, and completed her beauty look with a dark pink lip and a swirl of blush to each of her cheeks.

Earlier this week, Dakota attended the Madame Web London photocall in a look that was less web, more spider-inspired. For the occasion, she paired a black midi-length skirt with a black cropped blazer that showed off the tiniest sliver of skin. She went topless underneath her jacket and accessorized with a black pumps and a silver hoops.
