My mom’s ride-or-die winter staple was always a peacoat; I couldn’t tell you how many times I’d see her scurry off to work wearing the timeless top layer. In my young mind, it was the epitome of class, sophistication, and fashion. Then, one magical day, she offered to get me my very own. Gasp! To this day, I still rely on the cold-weather essential—and apparently, so does Demi Moore.
