Diane Keaton has mastered the art of living out loud. The actor is famous for her portrayal of lovable, zany characters in classics like Annie Hall and The First Wives Club—but off-screen, Keaton has become an icon for a style that’s all her own, from her trademark oversized hats to her bold abode in California. If you’ve ever wanted to take a page out of the actor’s playbook, now’s your chance: Home and lifestyle brand Hudson Grace has teamed up with Keaton on their first-ever collaboration, which is an embodiment of the Hollywood legend’s unique tastes.

The Diane Keaton for Hudson Grace Collection, officially launching tomorrow, is comprised of 109 items across the bedding, decor, pet, kitchenware, and entertaining realms. “I mean, the kitchen is my favorite place,” Keaton tells AD. Every piece is made for those who have a passion for refined simplicity but still crave a touch of humor to their home stylings.

Monelle Totah and her best friend Gary McNatton founded Hudson Grace in 2012, opening their first brick and mortar in San Francisco. Those who are familiar with Hudson Grace may know them for their modern serve-ware, glassware, linens, and anything else one might need to throw the ultimate dinner party. Totah first met Keaton at Hudson Grace’s Brentwood, LA, outpost years ago, and the two quickly bonded over their shared love for inspirational spaces.

“Diane was buying a big white platter. We really did become fans of each other, and when we called to ask her to help with our first collaboration, it was a resounding yes,” Totah tells AD. “We just felt like it would be a match made in heaven, and it really has been.”

The Hudson Grace team visited Keaton’s residence twice throughout the process of designing the collection. “That was where most of our inspiration came from, truly,” Totah tells AD. “It was so beautiful. So modern, but really warm and welcoming.”

In a 2008 tour of Keaton’s Beverly Hills home, one can spot an endless supply of character, and, of course, plenty of her signature color combo. “With black and white, you can play around with it in a variety of ways. You know what I mean?” the star says of the two hues, which have become her trademark palette.

While the classic color scheme is her aesthetic North Star, the look of Keaton’s abode is always in flux. “I think a good home is where you have the ability to change things that you haven’t loved and then change them again,” Keaton tells AD. This whimsically versatile spirit was a crucial element of the collaboration. Items were designed to be used in various ways, and linens are meant to be mixed and matched. The best example of this? A red bucket that one might use to store firewood or charcoal—but if you’re like Keaton, you’ll use it as a cooler. “Let’s just stick with drinks,” Keaton jokes. The actress is a known lover of ice cubes in her wine, and so is Totah.

Though this bucket could be used to store firewood or charcoal, the styling here takes a cue from Keaton herself, who prefers it as a cooler.

Like Keaton’s dwelling, the collection is rich in texture and pays homage to the past. A serving set harkens back to the enamelware of the 1850s, while the barnwood serve boards resemble something out of a rustic French bakery. Keaton’s home inspired a signature scent for the line as well. The House candle is a sleek, black design with notes of cardamom, blue sage, and olive tree bark and finishes with warm vetiver and golden amber.

The brand revels in tasteful details, so customers will also be able to light their House candles with a Keaton-inspired matchbox—complete with cheeky Keaton-isms, including “I can’t adult today” and “Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.”

Though Keaton’s existing homewares were the line’s source material, the resulting collection was so quintessentially Diane that the star couldn’t wait to get her hands on the pieces. “I want everything, and can you get it to me now?” were the actor’s words to Totah upon final review.
