As news from The Ton reaches we mere mortals, we're already girding our loins for the long wait until season four of Bridgerton is ready for us to binge.

In the meantime, however, we've taken it upon ourselves to dive into the new characters who will be joining the beloved Regency-era drama's fourth outing. Perhaps the most recognisable of the troupe of newcomers? Katie Leung, who will be joining the fourth season of Bridgerton and who you may well recognise from the Harry Potter film franchise.

To Potterphiles everywhere, you will remember that Leung played Harry Potter's sweet and emotional crush, Cho Chang, before he found (hopefully) everlasting love with Ginny Weasley. Cho entered the Harry Potter franchise in the fourth film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and became a mainstay of the series until the eighth and final movie.

Leung has been cast as Lady Araminta Gun in season four of Bridgerton, which will hopefully be more of a positive experience for her than that which she received while starring in the Harry Potter films.

'I was Googling myself at one point, and I was on this website, which was kind of dedicated to the Harry Potter fandom. I remember reading all the comments. And, yeah, it was a lot of racist shit,' she said on a 2021 podcast episode of Chinese Chippy Girl.

Lady Araminta Gun is the employer of Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), who play the season’s love interest for Benedict Bridgerton. Per Netflix's official character description, 'Twice married and twice widowed, Araminta has two girls debuting on the marriage mart this season and is feeling the pressure to get at least one of them married off. Fabulous, discerning, and blunt, Araminta does not respond well when anything—or anyone—threatens her standing in society.'
