Your dog could feature in Monty Don's Chelsea Flower Show garden — here's how
Monty Don's first-ever Chelsea Flower Show garden will be a simple celebration of dogs and gardens — and a photo of your beloved pet could be featured.
Speaking on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show, presenter Jo Whiley announced the launch of Radio 2's specially created 'Puploader' — a website where people can upload images of their dogs to be displayed in a corner of the Chelsea garden.

"For the RHS and Radio 2 Dog Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, we will have a very special dog house for all your very special dogs," says Jo. "People will be able to walk around and look at the garden and see these beloved dogs, and we absolutely want the Radio 2 listeners' pups to be represented. So we'd love you to go to Puploader to send in a photograph of you and your dog so everybody can see them!"
Plus, Jo has also been encouraging Radio 2 listeners to suggest songs for a special doggy playlist, which will play in a beautiful dog-themed house within the RHS and Radio 2 Dog Garden.
Inspired by Monty's Herefordshire garden, Longmeadow, the garden won't be "cluttered with messages and symbols." Highlights include a shaggy lawn, cheery daisies, dandelions and clover, and a low-maintenance lawn for chasing balls.
Monty has been determined to stick with his common-or-garden plants. When Jamie Butterworth, the award-winning horticulturalist who is working on the garden, recommended a more unusual Chimoanthus, Monty said: "Let's go with a simple hazel tree of the same size – that would give me just as much pleasure. That down-to-earth modesty is so unusual at Chelsea."
