In the lead up to her daughter's wedding, Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, is spending time getting to know the royal family. And if she wasn't a tea drinker before, she certainly is now.

Shortly after arriving in London on Wednesday, Ragland met Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall for tea. Meghan and Harry were also there to help introduce the in-laws.

No doubt, Meghan's father, and the news that he would not be attending the royal wedding was a topic discussed at Clarence House that day. On Friday morning it was confirmed that Prince Charles will accompany her soon-to-be daughter-in-law down the aisle of St George's Chapel.

"I understand that Prince Charles was extremely touched by Meghan’s request and is excited to welcome her into the family," wrote royal correspondent Omid Scobie on Twitter. "Sources say there is a real growing affection between Charles, Camilla and Meghan which, of course, extends to Doria"

On Thursday, Ragland reportedly met Will, Kate, George and Charlotte at a wedding rehearsal within Windsor Castle. And today, she will have tea with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor castle. Once again, Meghan and Harry will join them.

Meghan and her mother are quite close, and in a change from tradition, Ragland will have a special role in tomorrow's wedding ceremony. She will ride in the car with Meghan as she rides to the church. Ragland will also spend the evening with Meghan at Cliveden House. They will reportedly arrive at the luxury hotel later today.
