Dua Lipa is so glam grunge in a backless bandana top and cut-out leather trousers
We have official confirmation Dua Lipa is just like us! I mean, we always suspected we'd be BFFs with the down-to-earth pop superstar, but her latest social media caption proves just how real she is.
Taking to Instagram, Dua shared a series of pics of her latest look (which we will get to shortly FYI, so keep reading). She captioned the photo dump, “i'm nicer when I like my outfit” and tbh, same. It's basic psychology – wearing an outfit we like and feel comfortable and confident in will improve our overall mood, boost self-esteem and likely have a positive influence on our social interactions, too. Go figure.
As for the outfit that's got Dua in such a good mood, it's definitely one of her best from the glam grunge era she's currently in, staying true to her newfound aesthetic. Check it out for yourself:
Repping head-to-toe leather, Dua rocked a black bandana top that was covered in silver studs. The design was totally backless, secured to her body with two thing strings around her neck and torso. On her lower half, she wore a pair of low-rise black leather trousers that featured lace-up detailing around the waistband and down the side of the leg, undone at her left hip to create a cut-out. She added a couple of silver bangles to one wrist, with a crystal-embellished cross pendant necklace just visible beneath the neckline of her top.
This look follows the same theme as her outfits in recent weeks. Dua stepped out in a chainmail bra that was on full display under a tiny waistcoat and leg-slit skirt at the iHeartRadio Festival, following up with a leather corset and zipped thong hotpants for a performance in Austin, Texas.
Dua is clearly loving her new style as much as we are. Long may her glam grunge era continue!
