Dua Lipa’s pinstripe corset top is giving office siren
With the number of microtrends that emerge in the collective fashion consciousness, only to disappear in the blink of an eye, you'd be forgiven for not keeping track of every single one. But, if you're looking to commit to any autumn winter fashion trends, make it the office siren aesthetic. With celebrity backing from the likes of Bella Hadid, Florence Pugh, Sabrina Carpenter, Kristen Stewart and Maya Jama, the look has proved it's got legs.
So is it any wonder Dua Lipa is now the latest A-lister to step out in her own take on business sleaze? A quick scroll through the artist's Instagram feed will see her repping red and butter yellow in recent weeks, AKA two of this season's colours to know, along with square-toe biker boots, one of the autumn runway's biggest shoe trends.
Proving her style credentials, Dua's latest look consists of a pinstripe corset that practically screams boardroom babe.
In a charcoal colourway with silver stripes, the strapless top has moulded cups and hook-and-eye fastenings all down the front. Dua paired the design with coordinating wide-leg trousers that feature a waist belt with an oversized square silver belt buckle and zip pockets.
To accessorise the business chic look, Dua added plenty of jewellery to the point she was practically dripping in diamonds. Two chunky chain necklaces, a stack of bangles, multiple earrings all up her ears plus rings to finish provided all the sparkle.
We're not sure the ensemble quite translates for our office dress code, but it's the perfect transitional desk-to-drinks look. Maybe just add a jumper beforehand?
