Dua Lipa Wore a Blood-Red Sequin Gown to the Premiere of 'Argylle'
It's finally hitting theaters after too many delays to count.
Dua Lipa's highly anticipated film, Argylle, is finally arriving in theaters. And, of course, because we've all been waiting with bated breath for the film, which also stars John Cena (the two worked together on Barbie, for anyone who forgot about that) as well as Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, Ariana DeBose, and Sam Rockwell, she shut down the carpet at the film's big premiere in London.
Lipa coordinated her red hair to the completely sequined dress, which featured a strapless sweetheart bodice and a snatched waistline. The blood-red, floor-grazing gown had two different patterns of sequins to create texture and depth. The superstar singer accessorized it with a gold choker and she wore her red hair in tight waves parted in the middle. She finished the gown with graphic eyeliner and bright inner eye highlight.

Argylle premieres in theaters on Feb. 2. and chronicles "reclusive author Elly Conway [as she] writes best-selling espionage novels about a secret agent named Argylle who's on a mission to unravel a global spy syndicate." The twist is when her stories start to come true and audiences can expect plenty of hijinks and physical comedy, if the trailer is any indication. Lipa also provides music for the film, so expect another round of bops like "Dance the Night" to drop when this movie arrives.
Argylle will also arrive on Apple TV+ after its theatrical release. In 2021, when the project was announced, news broke that it would be the first in a trilogy of films. Director Matthew Vaughn described the movie and the series as a whole as an ode to 1980s action flicks, like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon.
