Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls Are As Easy To Make As They Are Adorable

Here at Delish, we can’t get enough of adorable Easter desserts. Whether it’s a Robin's eggs-inspired fudge, a carrot patch cheesecake, or even a whole bunny cake (no Easter bunnies were harmed while making this), Easter desserts are our bread and butter. That being said, if you’re looking for the easiest sweet treat to make for your Easter brunch, then look no further than our Easter bunny cinnamon rolls. All you need are store-bought canned cinnamon rolls to make these bunny-shaped treats. Add a simple glaze and sprinkles, and you’ve created the most festive (and easiest!) bunny roll. Here’s everything you need to know:

What brand should I buy?
We LOVE Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (especially when it’s 3 a.m. and you suddenly realize you need to have a warm roll before going to bed). But to make these little critters, we're gonna need either the Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls or Immaculate baking. The reason is because with these brands, you can actually unroll them and shape them to your liking. Because if you can't make them into bunnies, then you might as well just make our classic cinnamon rolls.

How should I decorate them?
We chose to decorate our rolls by adding a simple dyed glaze and throwing on some adorable sprinkles, but you can choose your own creative journey. Skip dying your glaze if you prefer, add whatever colors you please, or sprinkle on your favorite Easter decorates or candy.

Can I make them ahead?
We suggest making them the day of. Their shelf life is very short, and they taste their best up to 6 hours after baking.

Yields: 10

Prep Time: 5 mins

Total Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2

(12-oz.) tubes store-bought cinnamon rolls with icing

  • 1 c.

    (115 g.) confectioners' sugar

  • Red, green, and yellow food coloring

  • Sprinkles, for decorating

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Line 2 sheet pans with parchment (or spray with cooking spray).

  2. Open both tubes of cinnamon rolls and remove icing. Place icing in a medium bowl; cover and set aside.

  3. Break apart rolls and divide between prepared pans, spacing about 2" apart. To create the ears of the bunny, unroll a roll until you have a 9"-long strip, leaving the rest of the roll intact. Fold strip twice, creating an “M” shape on upper side of roll facing you. Carefully pinch both sides of ears, then tuck end of strip under roll. Repeat with remaining rolls.

  4. Bake rolls for 10 minutes. Remove pans from oven. Pinch ears one more time to ensure they don’t expand too much. Continue to bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes more. Let cool.

  5. Meanwhile, add confectioners' sugar and milk to bowl with reserved icing. Whisk until no lumps remain. Divide two-thirds of icing between 2 small bowls. Add 2 drops of red, green, and yellow food coloring to each bowl and stir, adding more if needed, until desired color is reached.

  6. Dip rolls into colored icing of choice, making sure to get all corners and top of roll.

  7. Arrange rolls on a platter. Top with sprinkles.
