Eggo Is Making Coffee That Tastes Just Like Waffles
When it comes to breakfast, there's certainly no shortage of iconic pairs: shrimp and grits, eggs and bacon, hash browns and ice cream (wait...what??). The list goes on.
And now we hope you're ready for another epic pairing because Eggo and Two Rivers Coffee Company have just announced that they're releasing a new line of coffees inspired by your favorite Eggo waffle flavors.
Described as combining the taste of freshly toasted golden Eggo waffles with the rich, aromatic notes of premium coffee, the collection will consist of five different flavors:
Blueberry Eggo Coffee
Chocolate Chip Eggo Coffee
Cinnamon Toast Eggo Coffee
Maple Syrup Eggo Coffee
Vanilla Eggo Coffee
And yes, the coffees will absolutely pair well with Eggo waffles. We're particularly excited about the match made in heaven that is Cinnamon Toast Eggo Coffee and Eggo Cinnamon Churro Waffles.
Similar to past collaborations, such as the boozy Eggo Sippin' Cream, Eggo Coffee was created with us grown ups in mind.
“As a parent, there’s nothing like trying to tackle the chaos of the mornings when you’re running on little sleep,” said Joe Beauprez, Senior Director of Marketing for Frozen Foods, in a statement. “Eggo Coffee is that much-needed caffeine boost families need to get through those crazy mornings, plus it pairs perfectly with our Eggo waffles for a truly satisfying and easy-to-make breakfast."
Eggo Coffee can be purchased at Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com and TwoRiversDirect.com, and will be available in 12-count packs and 40-count single flavor packs.
For Eggo lovers in New York City, the brand is giving you a chance to sample the new offering at the Eggo Coffee Café, at 188 Lafayette St. The pop-up will be open starting August 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then August 22 – August 25 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
Eggo also plans to give away 20,000 cups of coffee from August 21 - August 25 (each day at noon EST) via EggoGiveaway.com.
