Following the return of her signature bangs last November, Elizabeth Olsen is mixing it up yet again with the color trend that just might be on everyone's mood boards this summer: balayage. Stepping out in London to support Julia McDermott in Weather Girl, the actress sported long tousled waves that faded effortlessly from dark brown at her roots to warm-toned caramel at her ends.

Complete with wispy French bangs and a center part, Olsen's new look called to mind the beauty trends of 1960s and '70s icons like Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot—perhaps further confirmation that the boho chic revival is here to stay.

Olsen is no stranger to theater, of course. She actually began her career with off-Broadway productions before getting her big break thanks to Martha Marcy May Marlene. In 2021, she told Jess Cagle that theater was her first love.
"I was a dancer and I loved musical theatre," she explained. "It started when I was seven and there was this musical theatre camp in the Valley and a bunch of my friends every summer, we would do it. And that was my core group of friends."
During that same interview, the Avengers actress also revealed what sparked her interest in the boho chic aesthetic in the first place: her sisters, The Row designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
"Everything my sisters have ever worn in my entire life I have wanted to wear still as an adult today," she gushed. "I want their coats. I want their shoes. I want their dresses. And that is something that I never grew out of."
