Runways are nice, but half the fun of the menswear shows happens on the streets. As the ultimate venue for peacocking, the Fall 2019 collections brought out actors, athletes, and musicians eager to display their most outlandish fashions. And this season, no one stood out quite like Maisie Williams. Present at events such as Kenzo, J.W. Anderson, and Heron Preston, the 21-year-old Game of Thrones star was a refreshing addition to Paris’s front row lineup. A streetwear fan with bubblegum pink hair and a love of sneakers, Williams steered clear of the cocktail dresses and high heels that typify the starlet wardrobe opting for a colorful series of looks with a youthful verve.

As Arya Stark, Game of Thrones’s avenging angel, Williams is too busy making her way through a kill list to indulge in finery, but her interest in fashion is evident when she’s off duty. Sandwiched between rapper Gunna and designer Virgil Abloh at Heron Preston last Tuesday, Williams held her own in a bright green jacket from the brand’s Spring 2019 collection that was paired with jeans and a crossbody utility bag from Laval. The street yet sweet theme carried over into her J.W. Anderson attire the next day; in shiny black trousers, combat boots, and one of Anderson’s color-blocked pink blouses, she was impossible to miss. A python mini-dress and ruffled purse at yesterday’s Kenzo show was equally attention grabbing and took Williams’s love of pastels and print into new territory.

More than just wearing high fashion, Williams appeared to be having fun with it. She updated her Instagram with glimpses of her Parisian adventure, posing for the street style photographers outside the Tuileries, and generally enjoying herself. While it remains to be seen if she’ll extend her trip into couture, the impression she made during Fashion Week Men’s makes her a style star to watch.
