On Tuesday, the "Ten Thousand Saints" actor, 52, and "Stranger Things" actress, 25, attended the premiere of their latest film, "Wildcat," at the 48th annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The event was a star-studded affair, with the rest of the cast, including Laura Linney, Christine Dye, Willa Fitzgerald, Philip Ettinger and Rafael Casal joining them on the red carpet.
Maya Hawke — Uma Thurman's daughter — wowed fans in a black strapless A-line midi dress, paired with black and white satin kitten-heels. Her dad opted for a matching classic black tuxedo paired with black and white dress shoes.
Matching with her family, Ethan Hawke's wife Ryan Hawke was also in attendance in an all-black ensemble.
As photos of the Hawke family gracing the premiere circulated online, some fans have taken to social media to praise the father-daughter duo.
"Powerful genetics right there. Goals FR," an Instagram user shared.
"Oh, to be Maya Hawke," an X-user quipped, while another wrote, "So unbelievably gorgeous, I’m actually going to explode."
"Genetic gold mine. They're so adorable," one person penned in an Instagram comment.
A fan added: "Love them both!"
"Oh yes, they are definitely related," someone joked.
In a red carpet interview with Letterboxd, the Hawkes unveiled some of their favourite movies — at least as of recently.
While Ethan admitted that while his favourite films "change day-to-day," he tipped his hat to a few of his recent watches.
"'Do the Right Thing' was an incredibly meaningful movie in my life," he shared. "Paris, Texas" was an incredibly powerful movie to me."
"I have a new favourite," Maya revealed. "I was just at Telluride Film Festival and I saw 'Poor Things' by Yorgos Lanthimos. No one has seen it yet but it's at the top of my list — one of my favourite movies I've ever seen."
"I saw 'Salt Burn' which was killer," she added. "Annie Baker's movie — she's like, one of my favourite living playwrights and her movie 'Janet Planet' blew my socks off."
