Everything You Need To Know About Donald Trump's Family
On November 6, Donald Trump secured his second term as President of the United States, beating Vice President Kamala Harris to the post after months of campaigning. Prior to this, Trump was in office as President from 2017 to 2021.
Before pursuing a career in politics, Trump was globally known as a businessman, as well as making several cameos in TV shows and films over the years.
Throughout much of his lifetime and career, Trump has regularly come under fire for controversial comments and actions he has made and levied about and towards women, and became first convicted felon to become US president (for attempting to cover up a hush money payment during his 2016 election campaign). Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records to commit election fraud and is due to be sentenced in this case later this month.
Additionally, Trump's marriages and children have faced widespread media scrutiny.

Now that President Trump is back in power, here's a reminder of his children and marriages:
Donald Trump's Children
Barron Trump
Barron Trump is the youngest child of Donald Trump, and the son of Melania Trump (her only child). While he is only 18 years old, Barron is the tallest of Trump's children, standing at six foot nine. The teenager is currently studying Business at New York University, and will remain there to complete his studies, as opposed to relocating to Washington to live with his father during his term in the White House.
During a previous rally, Donald credited Barron's height to Melania's late mother. 'Boy, did she take care of Barron,' he noted. 'That's how he got so tall - he only ate her food.'
Donald Trump Jr.
Donald Jr. is the eldest child of Trump and Ivana. He was born in 1977 and raised in New York City, but spent his early summers near Prague with his maternal Miloš Zelníček.
In 1990 his parents divorced, leading him to temporarily become estranged from his father following his affair with Marla Maples, which was the cause of the divorce.
Like his father and several of his siblings and step siblings, Donald Jr. studied at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
He married his first wife, Vanessa Haydon, in 2005 but the pair divorced in 2018. Together, the former couple have five children: Kai Madison, Donald John III, Tristan Milos, Spencer Frederick and Chloe Sophia.
As of 2018, Donald Jr. began dating Kimberly Guilfoyle, and the pair got engaged in 2020.
Currently, Donald Jr and his younger brother Eric are on the trustee board for the Trump Organisation, as well as both serving as executive vice president for the company.
Ivanka Trump
Ivanka Trump is the second child and eldest daughter of Donald Trump. Her mother is Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife.
Like her father and stepsister Tiffany, Ivanka also studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she gained a bachelor's degree in economics in 2004.
During her teenage years and early adulthood, Trump worked as a model and featured in leading campaigns for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger and Thierry Mugler.
Over the years, Donald has come under fire for the inappropriate comments he has made towards Ivanka, including statements such as 'if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her,' and 'my daughter, Ivanka. She's 6 feet tall, she's got the best body.' Despite this, Ivanka has continuously defended her father and has stated that he has 'total respect for women.'
During Trump's first term as president, Ivanka worked as his advisor and became the head of the then newly established Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.
In 2009 she married her long-term boyfriend Jared Kushner, a real estate developer. Together, the couple have three children: Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick and Theodore James.
Eric Trump
Eric Trump is the third child of Donald Trump, and the final from his relationship with Ivana. Like his older brother, he spent his earlier summers near Prague with his maternal grandfather, who taught the boys how to hunt and fish.
Eric attended Georgetown University, and graduated with a degree in finance and management.
Following a six-year relationship, Eric married his girlfriend Lara Yunaska in 2014. The couple share two children together.
Tiffany Trump
Trump's second and youngest daughter is Tiffany Trump. Her mother is Marla Maples, Donald's second wife.
The 31-year-old followed in her father's footsteps by also studying at University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology with a specialisation in law and society. She then went on to Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., where she was awarded with a J.D. degree in 2020.
In 2018, Tiffany met her now husband Michael Boulos while on holiday in Greece with actor Lindsay Lohan. Boulos is a Lebanese-American billionaire heir and business executive whose family runs Boulos Enterprises and SCOA Nigeria.
The pair married in November 2022, and by October 2024 they revealed that they were expecting their first child together.
Donald Trump's Marriages
Melania Trump (2005-Present)
Formerly Melanija Knavs, First Lady Melania Trump was born in Slovenia and spent her entire childhood and teenage years in the country before eventually relocating to New York City in 1996 to further expand her modelling career.
Melania and Donald have been married for 19 years. The pair met at an event during fashion week in September 1998, despite Donald already attending the event with a date, Celina Midelfart.
Shortly after their first meeting, the pair became romantically involved and dated for a few years before they ultimately married in 2005.
Prior to their marriage, Melania worked as a model and continued to do so throughout the time that they dated, as well as during the early days of their marriage.
Together, the couple share one child – the aforementioned Barron Trump – who was born a year after they married.
Marla Maples (1993-1999)
Marla Maples is the second wife of Donald Trump. Together, the pair share one child, Tiffany Trump. The former couple married in 1993 and separated in 1997, which ultimately led to their divorce in 1999.
While the pair have long been divorced, it appears as though they are on relatively good terms as during an interview with The Standard on July 2024, Maples stated: 'I'm open to serve my ex-husband Donald Trump in whatever way I can.'
Ivana Zelníčková (1977-1990)
The late Ivana Zelníčková was born and raised in the Czech Republic. She later went on to pursue a career in skiing and eventually modelling, leading to her meeting Donald Trump. The pair married in 1977 and divorced in 1990, after Trump became involved with Maples. During their marriage, they had three children - Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump.
Zelníčková passed away in 2022 after falling down the stairs in her New York home. Her ex-husband Trump and their children attended her funeral.
