Married At First Sight Australia was even more dramatic last night (who knew it was possible!) after an accidental phone call caused heartbreak for bride Sandy.
So far this series, we’ve seen breakups, arguments, cheating, and now a butt dial / pocket call scandal that landed groom Dan in hot water. It all started with a lads night out and ended in heartache, so here’s everything you need to know about that accidental pocket dial.

The drama began when new groom Rupert went on a drunken night out with Ollie, Duncan, Hugo and Dan, and he accidentally called his wife, Evelyn.
“They were all on a boy's night, having some drinks and I got a butt dial from Rupert,” Evelyn explained during last night’s (5th April) episode.
“Naturally, I listened in… and I, unfortunately, heard what two of the husbands were saying about their wives. Hugo and Dan. Specifically Dan. I heard it so clear.”
She described some of the husbands in the series as “sneaky and manipulative” and said she would not forgive herself is she didn’t tell their wives, so she met with Sandy to reveal some of the things Dan had said about her.
“He was insinuating that he was too good for this experiment and too good for you,” explained Evelyn, before she sharing that Dan showed the boys photos of his ex-partners and boasted about how “hot” they were.
Sandy, clearly shocked, said Dan told her that he spent the evening with his daughter and soon broke down on camera.
“I came here with such high hopes, that I'd meet someone who would respect me and love me for who I am… I’m just broken,” she said. We’re so sad for her! Viewers took to social media to share their upset for Sandy, adding that they wanted to give her a big hug.
Hugo is also set to get into trouble for his comments about wife, Tayla, so stay tuned for more drama.
