Coffee is a beloved part of many people’s morning routines. Whether it’s enjoyed black, iced with plenty of creamer, or as a strong cold brew, on average Americans drink 1.2 cups of coffee per day. Well, coffee-lovers, your morning is about to get even better — because this weekend you’ll be able to get that caffeine fix for free.

This Sunday, September 29, 2024, is National Coffee Day. The holiday commemorates the date when the United States received its first shipment of coffee from Brazil on September 29, 1723. (Internationally, the holiday is celebrated on October 1.) It also serves as a way to honor and celebrate coffee farmers, producers, growers, and baristas.
