Here’s Exactly Who Taylor Swift Is Sitting Next to at the 2024 Grammys
Travis Kelce isn’t joining his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, at this evening’s Grammys due to his Super Bowl practice (he just boarded a plane to travel to Vegas as the red carpet began), but Swift will spend her night seated next to a music icon. CBS teased the first look at its Grammys seating chart on TikTok Friday, where the network revealed that Midnights contributor Lana Del Rey is seated alongside Swift. Swift and Del Rey did the track “Snow on the Beach” together.
They arrived at the Grammys together too:
Jack Antonoff was also next to her:
Swift is up for six Grammys on Sunday: Record of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Album of the Year (Midnights), Song of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Best Pop Vocal Album (Midnights), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Anti-Hero”), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Karma” with Ice Spice).
Del Rey spoke last February about collaborating with Swift on “Snow on the Beach” in an interview with Billboard. “Well, first of all, I had no idea I was the only feature [on that song],” she said. “Had I known, I would have sung the entire second verse like she wanted. My job as a feature on a big artist’s album is to make sure I help add to the production of the song, so I was more focused on the production. She was very adamant that she wanted me to be on the album, and I really liked that song. I thought it was nice to be able to bridge that world, since Jack [Antonoff] and I work together and so do Jack and Taylor.”
Swift later released a new version of the track featuring more of Del Rey’s vocals in May. “You asked for it, we listened: Lana and I went back into the studio specifically to record more Lana on Snow on the Beach. Love u Lana 🥰🥰🥰,” Swift wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, when she shared the news.
Um. SO much to tell you. I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch. So delighted to say that Karma Featuring the incredible @icespicee_ will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights… pic.twitter.com/OaRrHBWTUw
