EXCLUSIVE: Greg Scott Named CEO of Phoenix, Parent of Bonobos, Express
Express and Bonobos have a new chief.
On Monday, Phoenix named Greg Scott chief executive officer. He will oversee all direct-to-consumer operations of the Express and Bonobos businesses in the U.S.

Phoenix is a joint venture between brand management firm WHP Global, Simon Property Group and Brookfield Properties, which operate the two brands. There are more than 400 Express retail and Express Factory Outlet stores as well as 50 Bonobos Guideshops around the country.
Scott has more than 30 years experience in the fashion industry, including CEO of New York & Company and chief merchandising officer of Fashion Nova.
“I have always loved the Express brand — it has been an iconic player in fashion retail for decades, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead its next chapter,” Scott said. “Under the Phoenix banner, we have an incredible opportunity to build a powerful platform, blending best-in-class retail, e-commerce, and experiential to meet the modern consumer where they are. I am excited to work with the talented teams at Express and Bonobos to drive success and innovation for both brands.”
Kevin Meme, interim CEO of Phoenix, added: “Scott’s appointment marks a significant step forward for Phoenix as it continues to strengthen and expand the Express and Bonobos brands. His passion for fashion retail and proven industry experience will be key in driving the platform’s next phase of growth.”
Scott will be based in the company’s Columbus, Ohio headquarters and will start on Feb. 19.
Bonobos was acquired by WHP and Express Inc. for $75 million in April of 2023. Express subsequently filed bankruptcy and was rescued by Phoenix.
