Thanks to the ever-vigilant royal fans on Instagram, we've gotten our first peek at this year's royal holiday thank you cards, from both Prince William and Prince Harry's growing families.

Members of the royal family are known to send their thanks to royal watchers who've sent them letters, either congratulating them for a recent birthday or milestone, or simply wishing them happy holidays. The latest set of cards were responding to fans who sent the royals Christmas cards.

The royals used the opportunity to share two particularly sweet photographs with their fans. For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it was of a moment they shared together on their Oceanic tour this past fall. Harry had to deliver a speech, but it began to pour-so Meghan came to the rescue with an umbrella.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, thank you for the very kind message you sent for Christmas," the card read on the back. "This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send their best wishes for Christmas, and for the New Year."

Prince William and Kate Middleton chose another touching image-but theirs focused on their youngest, Prince Louis. It seems to be a posed studio photo, taken just after Louis's christening this past July. Kate smiles down at her baby, while the rest of the family grins straight at the camera.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis thank you for your very kind Christmas message," read the note on the card's back. "Their Royal Highnesses send you their very best wishes for Christmas and for the New Year."
