For his latest Modern Essentials collection for H&M, David Beckham selected pieces that nod to classic menswear, with a modern, urban twist. His favorites? “I love the new flight jacket, and the sharp double-breasted coat that’s like a fresh update on a true menswear classic.” You can also expect fresh takes on cool-guy staples like chunky-knit sweaters, nylon bomber jackets, and aviator sunglasses.

The new Modern Essentials collection will be available in all H&M stores that carry menswear, and online, on September 29. And if you’re in Los Angeles, it gets better — you can pre-shop the new collection on Monday, September 26th at the H&M store in the Fig At 7th complex, and the first 150 people in line will get to meet Mr. Beckham himself. The meet and greet begins at 4:30 p.m., but line up early — it’s not every day you get to meet a bona fide style icon.
