Following Tamera Mowry-Housley’s exit from The Real, fans declared actress and singer Keke Palmer as their top pick to replace the co-host. But Keke's setting the record straight that this won’t be happening.

In an interview with Bravo’s Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Keke said that although ABC’s Strahan, Sara and Keke is officially canceled, she’s got other projects in the pipeline — none of which involve The Real. (Skip to 1:21 in the clip below.)

“No, no, no. None of that,” she said. “So Strahan, Sara, and Keke is gone but you know, a lot of other good stuff in the works.”

Tamera Mowry-Housley’s departure from The Real is bittersweet. After seven years, the former Sister, Sister star is stepping away from the talk show desk to spend time with her family and pursue “amazing new opportunities.” Though announcements have yet to be made about who (if anyone) will replace Tamera on The Real, one name is already at the top of fans' list: Keke Palmer.

On Tuesday, entertainment and celebrity outlet Hollywood Unlocked polled their nearly two million Instagram followers. “Since #TameraMowry won’t be returning to #TheReal, who do you think would fit great with these ladies?” the post read, referring to a picture of Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Houghton.

Followers immediately took to the comments section to share their thoughts. While the post accumulated a roster of names, the “Snack” singer appeared to be the favorite.

“Put Keke Palmer on the show because she can add some flavor to it,” one person wrote. “@keke 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾,” another added. “Keke Palmer for sure,” a different fan said. “KeKe would definitely bring in the ratings,” a viewer commented.

On the other hand, many couldn’t imagine seeing Tamera being replaced by anyone. “The show is … nothing without Tamera. So I think it should be canceled. 🤷🏻♀️,” a fan wrote. “No one can replace Tamera,” another added. “Just cancel the whole show! 😩,” a different follower said.

Whether or not Keke would actually be up for it is unknown. Most recently, Keke co-hosted ABC’s Strahan, Sara and Keke. In mid-March, the show went on hiatus to give airtime for daily coronavirus briefings and reports. But now, the third-hour Good Morning America program is rumored to be canceled all together, according to Page Six (ABC has yet to confirm this is true, though).

For now, the 26-year-old seems to be busy releasing new music and short films, per her social media. That said, it looks like her fans are hoping for her to return to daytime TV really soon.
