This "Fantastic" $17 Amazon Find Instantly Doubled My Tiny Closet Space
I go through shopping phases during which I’ll buy one specific thing in multiples. For a while it was form-fitting long sleeve shirts (that I don’t even wear anymore because I sweat through them on the subway), and this past summer, it was linen shorts. I also love trousers, and I own about five black pairs that are different, but only slightly. Suffice it to say, my small closet is packed.
For a while, I could barely fit all of my clothes inside it, so I decided to make some organizational changes. I got a couple of underbed bins, for instance, and shoved many of my out-of-season garments inside my big suitcase. But by far, the most effective change I made was investing in collapsible pants hangers. Now, all of my trousers are neatly organized, and my closet rod has way more hanging space for coats, dress shirts, and more. I specifically recommend the Kalimdor Pants Hangers from Amazon, which, at $17 for a pack of two, are a steal.

What Are the Kalimdor Pants Hangers?
As soon as you see these hangers’ design, you realize they’re not your average pants hangers that only hold a single pair. Instead, each Kalimdor hanger can hold up to five pairs. You can buy them in a set of two, like I did, or you can snag a pack of four for $34. Each one is made of sturdy stainless steel and has little silicone tips on the end of each tier to prevent pants from sliding off. Each bar is also covered in a nonslip coating, so your garments remain securely in place at all times.
You can keep both hanger hooks on your closet rod for an expanded configuration or just keep one hook on for that flat style to help save space. What’s more, the durable but lightweight hangers arrive fully assembled, so you can put them to use right away.
Why I Love the Kalimdor Pants Hangers
I’ve owned these hangers for more than a year now, and they’re still one of my favorite organizational purchases to date. I figured I’d start with a set of two and buy a second set if I needed it, but actually, two hangers are more than enough for most of my pants. I have 10 pairs of jeans and trousers neatly folded over each bar, and I keep my nicer pants and long skirts on basic single-pair hangers. I love that I can expand each Kalimdor hanger to look at all of the pairs at the same time when deciding what to wear. Then, after I’ve made my decision, I can collapse the hanger and slide it to the end of the closet rod so my coats and jackets are stuffed against each other. Regardless of whether I’m plucking a pair of pants when the hanger is open or flat, all of the other pants on the bar stay put and never slide off.
I used to deal with another annoying problem when I kept two pairs of slacks on one regular coat hanger with the bar running along the bottom: wrinkles. I’d fold both pairs over the bar, but when I’d take one off or put it back, the other pair would get smushed and crinkled, if it didn’t fall off the bar altogether. I haven’t had that problem since getting the Kalimdor hangers, and it’s saved me a lot of time because I don’t have to steam my pants so often.
Regardless of whether you have a lot of closet space or a little, your wardrobe would benefit from these hangers. They’re efficient and budget-friendly, and they work exactly as promised. Most importantly, they’ll help declutter your closet, even if you can’t seem to stop buying new pants, like me.
