The limited-time offering is a hot and spicy sub featuring of oven-roasted chicken, crispy bacon, melted pepperjack cheese, mayo, red pepper flakes, and the brand’s own Captain Sorensen's Hot Sauce, all sandwiched between your choice of white or wheat (or gluten-free!) bread.

But this new sub isn’t the only hot item on the menu right now. There is also the return of a fan-favorite feature that just about any spice lover will appreciate.

Firehouse Subs Brings Back Fan-Favorite Hot Sauce Bar

If you’re a hot sauce fan, we know you’ve been missing the iconic Hot Sauce Bar at Firehouse Subs. Thankfully, after leaving us for three years, the sub shop is bringing back this beloved addition after getting numerous pleas from its fans. The newly revamped Hot Sauce Bar now offers 13 different sauces to try, ranging from a more sweet and mild hot sauce to seriously smoking hot sauces.

“Over the past few years, we’ve heard from countless guests on social channels, by email and even through handwritten letters begging for the return of our Hot Sauce Bar,” said Dena vonWerssowetz, Chief Marketing Officer at Firehouse Subs in a press release.

“The Hot Sauce Bar has always been a fan-favorite, and we are beyond excited to celebrate guests and bring back this iconic piece of Firehouse Subs' history. Our fans are passionate and this complimentary addition of the Hot Sauce Bar delivers a customized, flavorful experience that remains unmatched.”

For those who haven’t tried the famous Hot Sauce Bar or just need a refresher, each hot sauce is labeled with a number on the heat scale from 1 to 10. Whether you’re looking for a scorcher or just a hint of something extra to add to your sub, the complimentary Hot Sauce Bar is designed to offer a wide range of flavors, no matter your spice tolerance.

Fans can have their choice of any sauce from the not-too-hot Captain Sorensen's Datil Pepper Hot Sauce (rated a 1 on the heat scale) made with datil peppers for a sweet with a tangy flavor to the ultra spicy Deep Canyon Co. Sizzlin’ Scorpion Scorching Hot Sauce (rated an 8 on the heat scale) featuring habanero peppers for a whole lot of heat.

You can choose to add any of the sauces to your Firehouse Subs free of charge when you order in your local restaurant, online, or through the Firehouse Subs app.
