FKA Twigs goes braless in a cut-out leather top and lace-up trousers
Calling all Twiglets! You've no doubt been counting down the days since FKA Twigs announced waaay back in September that new music was coming soon. Specifically, her new album Eusexua that drops *this* Friday 24 January. However, the artist, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, took some well-deserved time out ahead of the big day to belatedly celebrate her 37th birthday four days late with dinner with friends last night [Monday 20 January] in New York.
While it might have been a low-key occasion with only a small group of close friends (including Twigs' longtime hair stylist, Louis Souvestre, who shared a look at the festivities on his Instagram stories) in attendance, the dress code was far from it as FKA Twigs' arrived dressed in her typical avante-garde fashion.

The outfit in question consisted of a brown cracked leather cap-sleeved top with cut-out panels at the shoulder seams that continued curving under the bust, revealing the artist was braless in the fit. On her bottom half, she wore coordinating flared trousers in the same cracked brown leather that featured totally open sides that were laced together.
The ensemble was straight off the Kim Shui spring summer 2025 runway. While the model opted for metallic sandals, Twigs added black platform heels with an inverted curvy spiked heel that made her look like she was balancing solely on her tip-toes with every step. A faux-fur coat and black handbag completed the look.
The panelled construction of the top in particular instantly drew comparisons in the Cosmo UK Fashion Team to Maya Jama's custom Genevieve Devine design she wore on episode one of Love Island: All Stars. Could this be a new SS25 microtrend? Watch this space...
