Florence Pugh And Andrew Garfield Just Shared Their Love Languages
You can't help but swoon when you hear actor Andrew Garfield speak about his We Live In Time co-star, Florence Pugh. 'All I knew about Florence was that she [is] incredibly gifted as an actor, beautiful, talented and seemed like a very joyous person,' he said of his first impressions of her during a game of Ask Me Anything with ELLE UK.
There are very few films coming to screen as highly-anticipated as their romantic drama, where the critically-acclaimed actors play a young couple named Almut and Tobias, who are brought together by a life-changing encounter and are then rocked by a difficult truth. Be warned, bring tissues.

The deeply personal and moving story by filmmaker John Crowley sees the actors completely stripped back as we see snapshots of the lives of their characters. From falling in love to building a home and becoming a family, Almut and Tobias are set to cement their places in the hall of fame of on-screen couples. Move over, The Notebook's Noah and Allie.
On what they were surprised to learn about each other during filming We Live In Time, Florence revealed that Andrew is a self-described 'king of snacks'. 'I didn't think you'd have so many versions of chocolate,' she revealed of her co-star. 'It's like walking into Whole Foods.'
As for Andrew, he said, 'What I was pleasantly and happily surprised by was that as an actor and a person, she can have really amazing, deep and meaningful conversations and she can be as silly, light, joyful, fun and playful as we know her to be. So, snacks and an incredible human being.'
Speaking of food, Florence – who is an avid cook with a plethora of videos online dedicated to her whipping up dishes – described her love language as 'cooking and feeding people'. For Andrew, he reeled off 'gift giving, acts of service, physical touch, deep listening, words of affirmation, quality time' and more as his ways of showing affection.
In the film, Florence plays a chef and restaurant owner so, naturally, we had to ask her and Andrew about their favourite restaurants. 'Barrafina and Sabor,' he cited, and as for their comfort foods, they cited re-heated spaghetti bolognese with shavings of Parmesan cheese or a slow-cooked chicken soup with orzo.
For what they felt We Live In Time taught them about love and life, Andrew said, 'That it's short, that we're only here for a brief amount of time and it's all a miracle. If we're awake enough, we can live with awe and wonder at the miracle of being known and knowing each other. It's one of the great things that gives our life meaning is connection.'
'[Almut] doesn't have as much time as the rest of them but she still wants to use every second of it. One of the most wonderful things about talking about this movie is just how invigorated it makes everybody... the want to grab life by the horns and do it to its full. And, how great is love?' adds Florence.
