Florence Pugh Showed Up to the 2024 Oscars in a Sheer Gown With a Floating Corset
The bejeweled look also included structured sleeves and tons of rhinestones.
Florence Pugh is in her silver era, and her latest dress at the 2024 Oscars proves it. The Dune actress showed up to the 96th Academy Awards in a whimsical take on a corset gown.
Pugh arrived at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre tonight in a silver gown from Del Core’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The show-stopping look features a structured corset that appeared to be both sheer and floating (the straps didn't touch her shoulders!), a bit of a wavy peplum, and several bejeweled rhinestone details that cascaded into the skirt of the dress, which contained a small train.
The actress accessorized with a Bulgari snake necklace, rings, and earrings, and went with warm terracotta tones for her makeup, going for a brick nude lip, burnt orange blush, and a matching smokey eye.
This stunning gown marks Pugh's third time wearing silver look on the red carpet, and her second corset look in recent weeks. For the February 25 Dune 2 premiere at the AMC Lincoln Center in New York City, the actress wore a billowing deep silver gown from Valentino's Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture collection that she accessorized with ornate silver chrome eye makeup and silver rings and earrings.
And at the 2024 BAFTA Awards, Pugh appeared at the event in a custom Harris Reed creation — a black dress that feature a bold, silver corset detail than extended beneath her bodice, and a matching black boa that she draped around her arms.
Pugh appears in the 13-time nominated film Oppenheimer. Although the actress isn't nominated herself, she brought the star power to cheer on her co-stars and crew.
