Delish Team's Favorite Recipes Of 2024 PHOTO: JOSEPH DE LEO; FOOD STYLING: BARRETT WASHBURNE

It’s finally the end of the year, so here at Delish we’re winding down and relaxing, taking the time to really look back on all we’ve accomplished and making predictions about what we’re excited about for the future.

Just kidding! We’re actually frantically hustling through our to-do lists, trying to get everything we need to done before our winter break, whether that’s dotting the Is and crossing the Ts on NYE articles, testing our pecan pie brownies one last time to make sure they’re perfect, taste-testing non-alcoholic liquor for dry or damp January, shooting photos for blackout banana bread (keep your eyes peeled for that one soon!)... The Delish Kitchen Studios is keeping busy right up till the last moment.

Still, we did do a LOT last year (we published 500 new recipes!), and I wanted to celebrate it. What better way than to literally chase down members of our team and ask them their favorite recipes from this year? My criteria was simple: Preferably published in 2024 (though a few from 2023 snuck through), and whoever I asked had to have developed, styled, tasted, or edited the recipe they chose. Below are their unfiltered opinions on the recipes they swore by last year (and there was a LOT of swearing 😉).

Croissant Stuffing

Stuffing is my favorite Thanksgiving food, and maybe one of my top 10 foods of all time. Adding croissants to it? So decadent it should be illegal. That or Brooke’s sesame tofu & broccoli, which I think was technically published in 2023. I’m counting it because I make it once a week without fail, it’s that good.” - Gabby Romero, Associate Editor

Lemon Rolls

“Honestly…oooh, wait is that true though?? Hm, actually…when did I do those lemon rolls? I loved developing the scallion pancake quesadillas (Editor’s Note: coming soon!). It had the most fun styling those reindeer rudolph bites into a silly little choir, no wait, don’t put that. My Thai sweet chili burgers lowkey ******. I impressed myself with my baklava cheesecake, since I have to work a little harder at baking recipes. Yknow what, lemon rolls, final answer.” - Brooke Caison, Food Editor

Pumpkin Pie Sugar Cookies

“Oh ****, okay wait. Definitely a cocktail, without question. Was the cranberry aperol spritz published this year? (Editor’s Note: fall 2023). Oh, actually, Gabby’s pumpkin pie sugar cookies are one of the best cookies I’ve ever tasted, and they are so cute. Her meringue-as-whipped-cream is genius.” - Jo Saltz, Editorial Director

Sesame Tofu & Broccoli

"Gotta be Brooke’s sesame tofu and broccoli (Editor's Note: pubbed at the very end of 2023). It's perfectly balanced, flavor-wise, and easy enough for a weeknight. The ingenious piece: Tearing the tofu, instead of cutting it with a knife, which means more surface area to make it extra crispy!" - Rob Seixas, Senior Food Director

Sausage & Broccoli Burrata Pasta

“I really loved my sausage burrata rigatoni… It’s not as thick and creamy as fettuccine Alfredo, but the creamy ooze of the burrata is the best part. It was just SOOO good.” - Francesca “Franki” Zani, Assistant Food Editor

Giant Party Sub

“Off the top of my head, the giant party sub that we took new photos of over the summer. I just ****ing love that thing… Wait, I love these too: Our Christmas wreath pavlova is sooooo pretty, and really delicious. (Editor’s Note: per Jess’s direction, we redid the photos of this, so worth it for the gorgeous final result). And our pumpkin s’mores cookies are like, really really really good. They’re the perfect cookie, even if it’s not fall.” - Jess Musumeci, Creative Director

Harvest Caesar Salad

“I made Taylor Ann Spencer's harvest Caesar salad for Thanksgiving AND Friendsgiving this year (and a friend loved it so much she made it for her other Friendsgiving). I’ve got half a butternut squash in my fridge right now from the last time I made it, and I’m excited to use it to make it again.” - Taylor Worden, Assistant Digital Food Producer

Biscoff Tres Leches

Izabela’s Biscoff tres leches, for sure. I’ve actually made it, and it delighted me. Oooh, or one of Franki’s. Holy ****, her deep dish pizza is good. I think it takes like 12 days to make (Editor’s Note: only 3 hours!), but it is so worth it.” - Julia Smith, Director, Community & Audience Development

Tuscan White Bean Skillet

“I was so excited for this recipe, I made it over the holidays in 2023 off the dev doc (Editor’s Note: the document we use in the development process) before it even was published onsite. Beans were having a moment, and I really wanted something to dip crusty bread into. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since!” - Lindsey Ramsey, Senior Director Of Content Operations

Pecan Pie Cheesecake Bars

“I made these over the holidays, and everyone loved them. I even took a note from our sweet potato crème brûlée bars and torched the tops for people who were allergic to nuts, and they turned out just as impressive.” - Temira Greene, Visual Production Coordinator

Almond Croissant Cinnamon Rolls

“Oh, I did really like my almond croissant cinnamon rolls. An almond croissant is my absolute favorite pastry, and it’s just a really fun flavor profile to incorporate into another classic recipe like cinnamon rolls.” - Makinze Gore, Senior Food Editor

Santa Pull-Apart Cake

“The origin story of this was the idea to turn our Grinchy pull-apart cupcakes into a Santa version… which obviously was going to be tough! It’s a simple enough concept, but the execution is actually hard to describe. It was a real team Delish effort to get this one done, and I’m very proud of it.” - Jill Baughman, Deputy Recipe Editor
