After going through a long list of submissions, here’s our Round 1 ballot for Readers’ Choice with 40 restaurants, based on your nominations and comments.

As we wrote earlier, most Readers’ Choice polls we’ve done on restaurants have focused on food — who makes the crispiest fried chicken, the juiciest burgers, an exceptional pizza or the best Texan barbecue. Now we are shining the spotlight on front-end staff who work hard to make your dining experience enjoyable.
