You can get a free Krispy Kreme doughnut on Friday, June 7. Here’s what to know
Krispy Kreme is celebrating National Doughnut Day with free doughnuts for all.
Customers can get a free doughnut of choice Friday, June 7, at Krispy Kreme shops nationwide, according to the Charlotte-based doughnut chain. No purchase is required.
“Krispy Kreme fans look forward to National Doughnut Day every year, and this year they can get their favorite for free!” Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a news release. “It’s a sweet day all around.”

The first National Doughnut Day event was hosted by The Salvation Army in 1938 as a way to raise money for those in need during the Great Depression, according to the charity’s website. “Donut Lassies” also baked and delivered the treats to soldiers during World War I.
