Georgia city attempting to break kazoo ensemble world record
Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A Georgia city announced it is seeking at least 5,191 kazoo players to attend its annual festival and break a Guinness World Record.
Organizers of the 2025 International Cherry Blossom Festival at the Atrium Health Amphitheater in Macon announced this year's event will feature an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest kazoo ensemble.
The current record of 5,190 kazoo players was set in London in 2011.
The Macon attempt, scheduled for March 28, will be led by "kazoo expert" Rick Hubbard.
All proceeds from $5 admission charges will be donated to the Otis Redding Foundation & Otis Redding Center for the Arts.
