Georgia has second best dog park in the country, says national poll. Here’s where it is
If you’re looking for a great place to take your furry friend, look no further because Georgia has one of the best dog parks in the country.
USA Today asked readers where the best dog parks in the U.S. are and while some chose places like Illinois and New York, a small town in the Peach State was also recognized. Here’s what to know:
Newtown Dream Dog Park - Johns Creek, Georgia
Coming in at number two on the top 10 best dog parks in the country, according to USA Today readers is Newtown Dream Dog Park in Johns Creek, Georgia.
The dog park features a one acre fenced area with “artificial turf, sprinklers for splashing, agility obstacles, and water fountains for both two- and four-legged visitors.”
There are water stations throughout the park for dogs and people as well as plenty of shade trees for when it gets hot.
The dog park is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road and is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
