Giant pandas Bao Li and Qing Bao make public debut at Washington zoo

Giant pandas Bao Li and Qing Bao made their debut to the public at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington on Friday, 24 January.

The pair, both 3, have been in quarantine and will make themselves at home in the US after travelling from China.

Bao Li and Qing Bao will star in the zoo's newly-relaunched giant panda cam, which uses 40 cameras and will be operated live between 7am to 7pm ET.

Public events and programs between 25 January and 9 February will celebrate the pandas' arrival, including a Lunar New Year celebration.
