For the office party

Most office holiday parties are extensions of the work day — but some companies go all out with an evening soiree. When planning your outfit, wear something that’s office-appropriate during the day but can be dressed up at night.

Gift Guide 2018: What to wear to every holiday event

The year is winding down — but that doesn’t mean your schedule will be anytime soon.

The holiday season is all about immersing yourself in holiday cheer. In other words, you’ve got Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza parties — or whatever you happen to celebrate. With so many events to attend, finding the appropriate outfit for every event can make a person feel like staying in bed wearing a perma-Snuggie.

Most holiday events don’t have a strict dress code, but you still want to dress appropriately and festive enough for the occasion. Don’t be the person who dares to shows up to the ugly sweater party in a stylish monochromatic jumper.

While some holiday events dictate formal attire, others just require you to be comfortable. To take some of the stress and guess work out of navigating holiday party attire, here’s our loose guide for what to wear to every event this season.

At the end of the day, the holiday season is about connecting with and celebrating with family and friends — so make that your top priority.
