Gigi Hadid Responds After Jake Paul Says He “Almost Had to Clap Up” Zayn Malik
Today in “internet celebrity feuds you definitely didn't see coming,” we bring you Jake Paul vs. Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid. No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you, this is real!
It all started when Jake tweeted that he “almost had to clap up Zane from 1 Direction” (ahem, it's Zayn) because “he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f*ck off for no reason when I was being nice to him.” The YouTuber then added a message to the singer-songwriter, writing: “Zane ik you’re reading this... stop being angry cause u came home alone to ur big ass hotel room hahaha.”
In another tweet, Jake elaborated: “Bro he literally started yelling and freaking the f*ck out ‘you wanna test me mate,’” adding: “lol I feel bad for childhood stars.”
Well. If you thought Gigi, who is reportedly dating Zayn once again, was going to let this fly, think again. The model soon responded with a tweet of her own. “Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..?” she began. “Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed.” Gigi Hadid, queen of comebacks everyone.
The entire exchange garnered a ton of attention on Twitter; some people applauded Gigi for sticking up for Zayn, while others just marveled at the ~drama~ of it all. (“I love mess” dot gif, anyone?)
To say that we have some questions about this whole thing would be an understatement. But according to metro.co.uk, it seems as though both Jake and Zayn were in Vegas recently to watch Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder face off in a boxing match. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for any future developments (or if Zayn, “the respectful king,” chooses to weigh in as well). In the meantime, we’ll be taking notes on how to clap back like a boss à la Gigi — she should teach a master class.
