The Traitors season three has almost come to an end (sob), bringing some much needed joy to our lives. There's been Linda and her attempted treachery, Alexander and his non-toxic masculinity, and a hell of a lot of Claudia Winkleman in giant mohair sweaters. But as we finally find out whether the Traitors or the Faithful are going to be crowned winners, we're already looking ahead to future episodes of the show, and whether they're still taking applications.
Ever since its debut in 2022, the show has become a firm favourite as the nation watches a group of contestants try and decipher who among them is a Traitor and who is a Faithful, all in the hopes of walking away with the prize pot at the end of the series. So far there's been mixed results, with the Faithfuls winning season one, while Traitor Harry stole the money at the end of season two.

Has The Traitors been confirmed for season 4?
Yes! Back in August 2024, the BBC confirmed a fourth season of the show would be coming, along with a celebrity edition of the series too.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said of the exciting news: “The Traitors has well and truly established itself as an unmissable highlight of the year and the news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level. It will once again be fascinating for our audiences to see who’ll outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!"
The series will be filmed at some point this year.
Who will be hosting The Traitors season 4?
It wouldn't be the show without her, so we're very happy to hear Claudia Winkleman will be returning to host the next season. Speaking of Claudia's return, Mike Cotton, Creative Director Unscripted at Studio Lambert and Executive Producer for The Traitors said: "There's a whole lot of exciting treachery and deception yet to come from the Highlands… Claudia’s going to have to pack some extra knitwear.”

How do I apply to be on The Traitors season 4?
We're so glad you asked. Applications are still open to take part in the next series of The Traitors. You need to be at least 18 years old to apply and applications are open until 9th February 2025, so get working on that application. As the application reads: "A game of trust and treachery… do you have what it takes to play?"

What is The Traitors season 4 release date?
We can assume The Traitors season 4 will follow a similar release pattern as previous years, based on the casting process and also the show itself. Season 3 looks to have been filmed in the summer, and was released on the 1st January. Which, if casting for the fourth season closes in February 2025, we can assume they'll film it this summer, and it will air in January 2026. Which, as fans of the show will know, generally follows the release windows so far:
