In a world where social media filters and flawless skin seem to be the gold standard, Gracie Abrams is stripping it all back by embracing a more natural look.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter, who rose to fame with hit song after hit song (and arguably, at the hand of Taylor Swift), recently took to YouTube with Allure to share a 'get ready with me' video – and it's one that has left fans in awe. It's me, hi, I'm the fan in awe, it's me!
"Hey Allure, I'm Gracie Abrams and this is my 10-minute beauty routine," she introduces.
Of course, before delving into said routine, Gracie dons an au naturel, makeup-free face and we cannot get over how stunning she looks. As one fan puts it in the comments section: "She’s literally gorgeous without makeup."
Gracie's makeup-free moment is just the latest in a growing trend where more and more stars are stepping away from the pressure of 'perfection'. Recently, celebrities including Sabrina Carpenter, Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian and Hailey Bieber have all publicly embraced a more natural look, each for their own reasons.

Now, having said all that, we're not turning a blind eye to the fact that these are some of the world's biggest celebs. From facialists to cosmetic procedures and even the top-rated skincare on the market, these stars – and in this particular instance, Gracie – do, ultimately, have access to the very best in beauty.
But right here, right now, flaunting what we're taking to be her natural, makeup-free complexion is a step in the right direction in normalising the realness of human skin. And for that, we love you even more than we already did, Gracie.
