Grammys 2025: Who was the best and worst-dressed on the red carpet? Vote for looks from Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish & more
Stars like Taylor Swift, Cardi B and Lady Gaga also attended the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 2025 Grammys red carpet was full of vibrant colours and sultry outfits as celebrities dressed to impress for music's biggest night. This year's ceremony, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles as the city recovers from devastating wildfires, saw stars like Taylor Swift, Cardi B and Lady Gaga attend in head-turning fashions.
But when looking at some of the best-dressed A-listers of the night, it's stiff competition. Between Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Chrissy Teigen, Olivia Rodrigo and Charli xcx, it's hard to pick which artist had the most stunning outfit at the event.
On the other hand, worst-dressed celebrities on the red carpet were easy to pinpoint. Billie Eilish, Joy Villa, Cynthia Erivo, Jaden Smith and Shakira all missed the mark when it came to dressing to the nines.
With the 67th Grammy Awards red carpet coming to an end, we're asking you to vote on the best and worst-dressed stars of the night. Below, read more about some of the outfits that graced the ceremony this year, and cast your vote for which celebrities should win each title.
BEST: Chappell Roan
We knew Chappell Roan would pull out all the stops for her first Grammys red carpet, but we didn’t know she’d dive deep into the fashion archives to do it. The “Pink Pony Club” singer brought the drama with her vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the designer’s couture Spring/Summer 2003 collection. The dress, which featured Edgar Degas infamous dancers from the Belle Époque, has reportedly been on the singer's vision board for 10 years.
WORST: Billie Eilish
“Birds of a Feather” singer Billie Eilish wore a Prada suit and delivered an odd mix of goth and nautical vibes for this year's Grammys. The singer’s commitment to lacklustre red carpet clothing is admirable, but tiresome and not befitting her talents and star-power — we're simply asking for more effort.
BEST: Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter channelled old Hollywood glamour by opting for a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look for her first Grammys red carpet. The “Taste” singer looked primed and ready for the spotlight in an ice blue JW Anderson gown with a jewelled neckline that paid homage to Shirley MacClaine's character in the 1964 film “What A Way To Go!”
WORST: Joy Villa
Sometimes people do strange things to get attention, like wear a crypto-inspired dress that features an oversized necklace of a dog’s face like it’s their own Flava Flav clock. Joy Villa, a singer-songwriter turned fitness influencer, topped the look off with a MAGA-inspired hat. So, there’s that.
BEST: Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen’s Christian Siriano gown brought the right amount of sex appeal and glamour to the Grammy’s red carpet. The look featured a mesh, nude illusion lining and structured elements along the neckline, as well as a mermaid hem that made the gown a true work of art. Teigen’s minimalist hair and nude-coloured lip didn’t compete with the look, making it a sartorial slam dunk.
WORST: Cynthia Erivo
Let’s hope Cynthia Erivo is saving her best red carpet looks for next month’s Oscars ceremony. Despite an incredible press tour wardrobe, the Wicked star’s navy and silver look at the Grammys felt like a Star Trek wardrobe reject and fell flat on the red carpet. Despite the actress's glamorous nails and diamond accessories, it was a disappointing turn from one of our favourite red carpet icons.
BEST: Olivia Rodrigo
Casual fans of Olivia Rodrigo might feel a bit of deja vu when it comes to this look for the Grammy Awards, but the “Vampire” singer knows exactly what silhouette looks good for her. This year, she graced the red carpet wearing a stunning black vintage Versace halter-style gown featuring a deep-V chest cutout and a nearly backless style.
WORST: Jaden Smith
One of the most eyebrow-raising looks seen on this year’s Grammys red carpet came from Jaden Smith. The “Summertime in Paris” singer arrived alongside sister Willow Smith as he wore a classic Louis Vuitton tuxedo for the night. But anyone watching the event might’ve been shocked to see the artist’s entire head — sans his face — covered by a vampire castle-style headpiece from Abodi that costs €4,500 ($6,800 CAD).
BEST: Charli xcx
Those keeping up with Charli xcx over the course of the last year know the English singer is having one of the best moments of her career following the release of “Brat.” This year’s Grammys red carpet proves the “365” artist’s momentum isn’t finished, as she stepped out wearing an extravagant Jean Paul Gaultier corset gown. Guest designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, the art-like piece featured numerous ruffles and a lace-up element in the back.
WORST: Shakira
It's unfortunate Shakira had to land on this worst-dressed celebrity list, especially since the Colombian icon is celebrating her 48th birthday on the same day as this year's Grammys. But the "Hips Don't Lie" singer's Etro-created outfit — featuring an orange bodysuit and black floral patterns as well as a lace skirt — left much to be desired.
