Great Outfits in Fashion History: Jennifer Coolidge in Gucci at the 2003 GLAAD Media Awards

There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

Jennifer Coolidge's red-carpet style has always been fun. Case in point: Let's look at when the actor wore a fabulous Tom Ford-era Gucci dress — a vibrant V-neck number — from the Spring 1999 collection to the 2003 GLAAD Media Awards.

The style had all the trimmings of early-2000s fashion, from the maximalist print to the ruffled trim. Coolidge paired it with a stacked pearl bracelet and white sandals for a relaxed springtime look. Funnily enough, it feels like something her "White Lotus" character Tanya McQuoid (for which she just won an Emmy) would wear on vacation, maybe in... Italy?

What's great about this 2003 Coolidge ensemble is how true it is to her and to that era. It's easy to imagine someone wearing this while cathartically slamming shut their flip phone, applying since-discontinued Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers and going on about their day.
