Are grocery stores open in Tri-Cities on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? Where to shop

What do you do when you need to go to the store on Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day? Here’s what’s open in Tri-Cities.
Tri-Cities grocery stores on Christmas
Most stores in Tri-Cities are closed on Christmas day with limited hours on Christmas Eve.
Costco is closed Christmas day, but is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Target is also closed on Christmas, but it’s open longer than Costco on Christmas Eve, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All local Yoke’s, Walmart and Fred Meyer stores will be closed Christmas day and closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
WinCo is open until 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas Day. Stores will open at 7 a.m. the day after Christmas, then return to the regular 24-hour schedule.
The only grocery stores open on Christmas day in Tri-Cities will be Safeway locations. Normally open from 5 a.m. to midnight, Safeway stores will close early at 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Christmas day hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and stores will have normal hours the day after Christmas.
