The bride shocked the Star Wars-loving groom by walking down the aisle to "Across the Stars," which brought him to "immediate tears"

A groom was brought to "immediate tears" at his wedding ceremony thanks to a Star Wars-themed surprise.
Enrique and Sidney-Claire Lampon tied the knot in Birmingham, Ala. on Oct. 26, 2024. But before the bride, 26, walked down the aisle in front of their 150 guests, she planned a wedding day secret for the groom, 25.
Knowing Enrique has been a huge Star Wars fan for years, Sidney-Claire wanted to incorporate the space saga into their special day.

Enrique Lampon getting emotional during the wedding ceremony"The moment my Star Wars nerd husband realized I was walking down the aisle to 'Across the Stars,' " Sidney-Claire captioned a TikTok post showcasing Enrique's reaction to the unexpected choice for the wedding processional.
In the ceremony footage, Enrique instantly recognizes the music — John Williams' score from the franchise. As all guests stand and turn to watch Sidney-Claire walk down the aisle, Enrique smiles. He quickly becomes visibly moved by the thoughtful gesture — looking down, blinking repeatedly and pursing his lips to hold back tears. But the groom's attempts to suppress his emotions failed. Everyone could see how touched he was.
"I don't remember much besides locking eyes with him and seeing his immediate tears," Sidney-Claire tells PEOPLE. "Wedding planning, long distance, and forgoing a first look were extremely stressful and it all felt worth it in that moment. I felt my anxiety melt away."
Even the official Star Wars account recognized the sweet surprise in the comments section of the TikTok video, which has accumulated more than 17.8 million views and 3.1 million likes since being posted on March 21.
"may this type of love find me 💙," Star Wars commented.
Although Sidney-Claire doesn't "like Star Wars that much," she wrote in a comment that she "did it for him." Traditionally, brides have their grand entrance walking down the aisle, but grooms don't often get a big moment of their own, so she wanted to change that.
"We also planned the entire wedding 13 hours away from each other, so I wanted to find a way to truly honor and surprise him," Sidney-Claire tells PEOPLE. "I hoped it would show him that this was his 'big day' too. My grandfather who passed away was a huge Star Wars fan as well, so that made it even more special."
She continues, "I have been planning my wedding (in my head and on Pinterest) way before me and Enrique even met, so a lot of the big decisions were made by me. My mom and I knew exactly how we wanted it to look."
Most of the wedding party and the couple's families knew that Sidney-Claire would be walking down the aisle to "Across the Stars." The song was composed by Williams and serves as the main thematic representation of the passionate, yet tragic relationship between Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman), appearing frequently throughout Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

"It's meaningful to him because he grew up watching it with his dad," Sidney-Claire explains of the significance of the film and TV franchise to her husband. "They used to stay up to watch new episodes of Clone Wars together, but he really became a fan when he read the books in high school. That was definitely 'their thing' growing up."
Luckily, Sidney-Claire's Star Wars wedding day twist went off without a hitch.
"It was a complete surprise!" she says. "A couple months before I told him I'd be walking down the aisle to 'Here Comes the Bride' to throw him off and he told me I should walk down to 'Across the Stars' instead. I played it off and he truly had no idea!"
Sidney-Claire had only seen the most recent Star Wars films before she met her husband. Once they started dating, Enrique made her watch all of them. "I surprisingly really liked them but more so liked how much joy the movies bring him," she says.
The couple will celebrate three years together in June.
