What's old is new: Follow in the stylish star's footsteps with a pair of versatile, supportive slides.

Groovy! Sarah Jessica Parker just made these iconic Dr. Scholl's sandals cool again

Sarah Jessica Parker is a style icon, whether she's portraying the beloved Carrie Bradshaw or strolling around New York while she's off the clock. She looks fabulous in everything from haute couture for the Met Gala to good ol' Jordache jeans.

Parker is filming the newest season of And Just Like That, and she was recently snapped wearing a pair of sandals that are causing quite a stir. Ready for a blast from the past? Along with a dramatic headpiece and colorful maxi dress, Parker wore — wait for it — Dr. Scholl's Original Sandals. Yep, the chunky clog-style slides from yesteryear. She's bringing them back!

These throwbacks are available in white, red, black and blue leather. If your size is in stock, grab a pair while you can — they're going fast.

First introduced in 1959, Dr. Scholl's Originals have turned up on the feet of celebs from Twiggy to Jennifer Aniston. Designed to be a versatile style that folks from all walks of life could strut in comfortably, these classics have serious staying power. Dr. Scholl's brings them back year after year.

If you need comfortable sandals for summer, these are worth a try. They're made from natural beechwood that the company describes as "lightweight and flexible," and there's a handy adjustable leather strap up top that allows you to find a custom fit that feels good on your tootsies. The sandals also feature a cushioned insole with arch support.

Parker isn't the only fan rocking her Dr. Scholl's these days. The style is sold out in some sizes and colors, and summer isn't even here yet! Now that Parker posted a pic wearing a pair? They're bound to sell out in every color. The raves from real people will only make them go that much faster — but be sure to check out Zappos or Amazon too if you can't find your size.

"I had these as a young girl and loved them back then," one longtime fan said. "I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot, and these sandals seem great for that. I don't have issues walking in them. They are very comfortable for me. They are a bit heavy, so I think you need decent leg strength to wear them. They go with absolutely everything!"

Another happy customer wrote, "I've loved these sandals since they first came out. The elegance of the design works with any outfit. [They are] my favorite shoes of all time."

Worth noting: These wooden-sole slides aren't for everyone, including me! I had a pair years ago that destroyed my ankles because I'm a clumsy walker and kept kicking myself. I'd get another pair now, but I wouldn't dare walking for more than a few minutes in them.

Other longtime wearers note a recent design change.

"[These sandals] are missing a key component on the shoe to make them the 'originals' — the wooden bump in the toe area. That bump is what you gripped with your toes to walk, and it was a great leg exercise at the same time," a shopper explained.

The sandals are available only in whole sizes, and there's little consensus on whether they run big or small. You may want to try two sizes and keep the pair that fits best.

"These are just like the originals I wore back in the '70s!" said one buyer. "Love them. Just wish they were the price like in the '70s!" (We're definitely with you there!)
