Gwyneth Paltrow Says She Really Doesn't "Miss Acting at All"

Don't expect Gwyneth Paltrow to return to the big screen anytime soon.

In a new interview with TODAY's Willie Geist for Sunday Sitdown, the Oscar-winning actress made clear that she's less than sentimental when it comes to reflecting on her powerhouse Hollywood career.

"I really don't miss it at all," she said. "I think I'm so lucky that I got to do it, and I'm sure I still will at some point. The team is always trying to get me to do a movie, but I really love what I do."

Paltrow's last acting gig was on Netflix's political dramedy The Politician, which premiered in 2019. Since, Paltrow has shifted gears to give her full attention to her wellness and lifestyle brand, Goop.

"I love how immediate it is and how we're able to create product out of thin air that we believe in so much. That's so powerful," she said of her company. "It's funny, I don't daydream about the movie business at all."

In spite of a lack of fuzzy feelings toward the entertainment industry, Paltrow said she won't stay out of the spotlight forever. An oath she made to her mother, actress Blythe Danner, will have her make a homecoming to acting eventually.

"I did promise my mother, at some point before I die, I told her that I would go and do a play," she said. "So I'm gonna deliver on that promise at some point."

Will the play be on Broadway? West End?

"Yes," Paltrow said. "That's what she would like."

In the meantime, fans can still look forward to bedazzled-diaper pranks, vagina-themed candles, and other whimsical offerings from Goop.
