Tiny as it may be, my studio offers way more pros than cons, but one thing that’s been difficult to adjust to is its severely limited cabinet space. One is filled with dishes, while another is packed with water bottles, a blender, and a random assortment of kitchen gear. That leaves the third and final cabinet for snacks and pantry staples. Oh, and did I mention that the shelves are also abnormally shallow?

I’m a gal who loves her snacks, so one shallow cabinet is hardly enough. After unpacking all of my moving boxes, my first order of business was to find a storage solution that wouldn’t take up any space — and the thought that immediately came to mind was an organizer that would stick to my fridge. Thankfully, I landed on  Ofiray-home’s magnetic basket early on during my Amazon search, and it’s been a total lifesaver ever since it arrived. Small kitchen or not, let me tell you why you need this superstrong and spacious organizer in your kitchen, too.

What Is the Ofiray Home Magnetic Fridge Shelf?

Due to its magnetic suction feature, this nifty organizer claims to support up to 33 pounds. The bottom half consists of a roomy basket, while the top is equipped with a wooden shelf — so you’re essentially getting two organizers for the price of one. The basket has an open design for easy access to whatever you decide to place in it, and on that front, there are plenty of options. Snacks, fruit, sodas, coffee gear — I could go on, but you get the idea, and spices or kitchen utensils can sit on the upper shelf. It’s about 12 inches deep, 7 inches wide, and 14 inches tall overall, so you can basically free up an entire cabinet shelf with this bad boy. (Maybe even two.)

Why I Love the Ofiray Home Magnetic Shelf

I tend to be a bit skeptical of anything that uses adhesive or magnets. You never really know that it won’t slip down whatever surface it’s mounted onto. However, when the moment of truth arrived after the simple assembly process, I was shocked at just how powerful this organizer’s magnets are. I have to forcefully tug at it to remove it from my fridge. Even when I yank a bag of chips out of the basket, it doesn’t budge. Speaking of chip bags, I was able to fit three, plus a package of Momofuku noodles. (It can definitely fit more if I tried.) The shelf on top is deep enough to hold three spices from front to back, so you can easily squeeze at least 12 on there.

Further, $25 is such a small price to pay for an item that’ll open up a cabinet shelf and your spice drawer, all while taking up no space in your kitchen at all. I’m already planning on snagging another for fruits and veggies — but there’s no telling how long the sale price will last, so I won’t wait too long (and I recommend you don’t either).
